1. The agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and CircleRoll LLC (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using HopSlide you agree to them, to the Privacy Policy and to the SMS program terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you. You may not use HopSlide if we have previously terminated your account for breaking these terms, or if the law prohibits you from receiving the service.
3. Your account
You sign up with an email address, Sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your sign-in details secure: you are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at once at hello@2ndphoneline.com if you think someone else has used it.
4. The service
HopSlide gives you a phone number in the United States or Canada that sends and receives texts and calls through our app over the internet, separate from your mobile number. It needs a working Wi-Fi or mobile data connection. Numbers are provided through our carrier partners and depend on their availability. We may add, change or remove features; if a change takes away something you paid for, we will tell you in advance and, where the store allows, you can cancel.
5. Honest limits
Not a 911 service
HopSlide cannot place calls to 911 or any other emergency number and is not a replacement for a mobile or landline service. When you dial an emergency number in the app, it hands the call to your phone's own dialer so it goes through your mobile carrier. That only works if your phone has mobile service. Do not rely on HopSlide in an emergency.
Verification codes and VoIP numbers
Your number is an internet (VoIP) number. Some banks, apps and services reject VoIP numbers or do not send verification codes to them. We do not promise that any service will accept your number or that any code will arrive, and we are not responsible if you lose access to an account that depends on one.
Delivery
Texts and calls pass through other carriers' networks. We work to deliver every one, but we cannot guarantee delivery or timing. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
6. Your number
We assign a number only when you choose one in the app. You may use it while your account is in good standing, but you do not own it and may not sell or transfer it, except by moving it to another carrier as described below.
How long you keep a free number
- A free number does not expire on a date. Once it is in use (it has sent or received a text or call, or you have opened the app on two or more days), keep it by opening the app at least once every 90 days. If you do not, we warn you on day 60, day 80 and day 87, and then the number is released, but it is held for a 30-day reclaim window in which you can still reclaim it.
- A number that is never used is released 30 days after it was assigned, with warnings on day 20 and day 27.
- Numbers on Lock, Plus or Premium Number are kept for as long as the plan lasts, whatever your activity, even if you do not open the app. (Ad-free by itself does not keep a number; an Ad-free subscription bought before 12 October 2026 still does.) When paid access ends, the free-number rules above apply and the 90 days start again from that date.
- A short-term number, international number or extra line you already hold on a plan we no longer sell stays until its date or until you cancel it, and does not renew after that. Nothing new is sold in those plans.
- A released number that was used is held, unassigned, for 90 days before it returns to the carrier, so its next owner does not receive messages meant for you. A number that was never used returns at once.
Releasing, changing and moving your number
You can release a number at any time from the app; we show you what you lose before you confirm. On the free plan you can change your number once in any 30 days. You may move (port) your number to another carrier: email hello@2ndphoneline.com from the address you sign in with and we send you the account number and transfer PIN the new carrier asks for, and we will not obstruct a valid request. Moving a number from another carrier into HopSlide is not offered.
7. Messaging program
Program name: HopSlide. Description: person-to-person texting from the second number you choose in the app. You write every message your number sends, to people you choose; we do not send marketing texts from your number.
- Message frequency varies with your conversations.
- Msg & data rates may apply.
- People you text can reply STOP to opt out of your number's messages and HELP for help. After a STOP, your number cannot text them until they reply START.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Support: hello@2ndphoneline.com. Full details are on the SMS program page and in the Privacy Policy.
8. Subscriptions and payments
The free plan costs nothing. What you can buy: Plus ($5.99 a week, $8.99 a month or $59.99 a year), Lock your number ($1.79 a week or $4.49 a year), Ad-free ($2.49 a month), Premium Number ($4.49 a month or $4.49 a year), and international calling credit ($4.49 adds $4.99 of credit, bought once). Prices are in US dollars. You can buy in the app, where Apple or Google bills you (this section), or on the web at web.2ndphoneline.com, where we bill you (section 9). A plan works the same on your account wherever you bought it.
Buying in the app
- Payment: purchases in the app are made through, and billed by, Apple or Google. The App Store or Google Play shows your local price and any tax before you confirm, and charges your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions) or in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions). The app links to the same page. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription bought in the app.
- Free trial: eligible new subscribers to Plus monthly or annual get a 14-day free trial; the app shows how long it lasts and the date of the first charge before you start. During the trial, outgoing US, Canada and Mexico calls are limited to 500 minutes for the whole trial (25 of them to Mexico), and never to less than the free plan allows in a month. It converts to a paid subscription of the same plan unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds for purchases in the app are decided by Apple or Google under their policies. Request one from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com or from your Google Play order history.
- Price changes to a subscription are announced in advance as the store requires, and you can cancel before they apply.
9. Buying on the web
Signed in at web.2ndphoneline.com, you can buy Plus, Lock, Ad-free and international credit. These purchases are sold and billed by CircleRoll LLC. The checkout and card payments are run for us by our payment providers; we never see your full card number. Buying on the web is available in the United States only, in US dollars.
- Price and tax: before you pay, the checkout shows the price with its billing period, that sales tax is added, and what renews and when. You agree to these terms and to the charges shown by ticking the box at checkout, and we keep a record of that agreement.
- Renewal: a subscription bought on the web renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Your card is charged for the renewal up to 1 hour before the period ends, so cancel at least an hour before the end of the current period.
- Free trial: when the checkout offers a free trial (Plus monthly or annual, for eligible new subscribers), it shows the date the trial ends and the amount charged then. Cancel at least an hour before the trial ends and you won't be charged. We email you when the trial starts, 7 days before it ends and again 2 days before it ends. One free trial per customer: a trial started on an account that has already had one, or a Plus plan, is cancelled.
- Cancel any time in one click: in the web app, Settings, Plans, Cancel. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for, or the end of the trial. Your card details and receipts are under “Card and receipts” on the same page.
- Deleting your account cancels every subscription bought on the web at once, so you are not charged again. The current period is not refunded.
- Refunds (our web refund policy): ask on the same page. Within 48 hours of a payment, and once in any 12 months, we refund to your card straight away international credit none of which you have used, or the latest payment of a subscription you have barely used since that payment (up to 100 minutes of calls and 300 texts, and no new number on a paid plan). A refunded subscription ends at once, and refunded credit is removed. Any other request is reviewed by a person, who replies by email. A free trial has nothing to refund: cancel it instead. This policy does not limit a refund the law gives you.
- Price changes apply to new purchases only: a subscription you already bought on the web keeps its price.
- Disputed or flagged payments: if a payment is disputed with your card issuer, or the card network warns that it may be fraudulent, we may refund it, remove the credit it bought (even if that leaves a negative balance), and pause buying on the web and international calls and texts on the account until it is resolved. Calls and texts to the US and Canada keep working.
10. International credit
- International credit is prepaid and is used only for calls outside the US, Canada and Mexico and texts outside the US and Canada. The price per minute is shown before every call, and the price per text is listed under Rates in the app. Calls and texts inside the US and Canada, and calls to Mexico, never use it.
- Credit is used only when the carrier confirms the text was sent or the call connected. Calls are charged for the first minute, then by the second. If a text fails or a call does not connect, the credit is returned automatically.
- Credit has no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and is non-refundable except under the web refund policy for credit bought on the web (section 9), when a provider failure meant you were charged for something that did not happen, or where the law requires a refund.
- You can earn credit by watching optional videos (about $0.02 each, up to $0.08 a day) and through referrals ($2.00 to you and the friend you invite once their number is in use, for up to 10 referrals in any 12 months). Credit obtained by fraud or abuse may be removed.
- Unused credit ends when you delete your account.
11. Fair use
Every plan includes unlimited US and Canada calls and texts, and calls to Mexico, for everyday personal use, up to the limits in this table. The limits are set so that typical use never reaches them. Incoming calls never count. A new free account has lower daily limits for its first 7 days, shown in the table, to keep new numbers from being used for spam; the limits on a paid plan do not change. When you reach a limit, the app tells you so once: on Free it offers Plus, and on Plus it tells you the date calls are back. Calls inside the US, Canada and Mexico are never charged to your international credit. Nothing is cut off silently.

12. Acceptable use
You may not use HopSlide to:
- send spam, bulk or automated messages, or marketing to anyone who has not agreed to it;
- harass, threaten, stalk or abuse anyone, or send content that is illegal or that carriers prohibit on their networks;
- commit fraud, phishing or scams, or impersonate a person, business or government;
- falsify caller ID, or hide who you are in order to cause harm;
- keep texting someone who has replied STOP;
- create accounts in bulk, collect numbers to receive verification codes at scale, or resell the service;
- get around limits, bans or security measures, or interfere with the service or other users;
- copy, decompile or reverse engineer the apps except where the law allows it.
13. Suspension, termination and appeal
We may limit sending, suspend your account or release a number if you break these terms, if a carrier or the law requires it, or to stop harm to other people or the network. Where the law and safety allow, we tell you what happened and why. If you think we got it wrong, reply to that notice or email hello@2ndphoneline.com with the subject “Appeal” within 30 days. A person reviews it and replies with the outcome and the reason for it.
You can stop using HopSlide at any time and delete your account in the app or on the account deletion page. Deleting the account destroys your data; it does not deactivate it.
14. Your content
Your messages, voicemail, greetings and contacts are yours. You give us permission to store, process and transmit them only as needed to provide the service to you. You are responsible for what you send and for having the right to send it.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. We change the date at the top, and if a change materially affects your rights we tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
16. Warranty disclaimer
Apart from the commitments in these terms, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that every message or call will be delivered.
17. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, CircleRoll LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or access to other accounts, arising from your use of HopSlide. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
18. Indemnity
If you use the service in breach of these terms or the law and a third party brings a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.
19. Governing law and disputes
Please contact us first; most problems are solved by email. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Fulton County, Georgia, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live and may bring a claim in your local courts.
20. App Store and Google Play
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store: these terms are between you and CircleRoll LLC, not Apple, and we, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, or claims that the app infringes someone else's intellectual property; we are responsible for investigating and handling those. You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo and are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. If you downloaded the app from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply to your purchase.
21. General
These terms, with the Privacy Policy and SMS program terms, are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we have not waived it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours to a company that takes over the service, and we will tell you if that happens.
